• Food & Drinking the water: The water is usually safe in major cities, but it is recommended to buy bottled water (or boil some). The food in Costa Rica is great and has dishes for every taste.

• Passports and visas: A passport valid for at least 30 days after arrival or for the duration of stay, whichever is greater.

• High and low seasons & climate: Tropical and subtropical, cooler in highlands. The high season in Costa Rica runs from December through April. The rainy season (green season, or winter, whichever you prefer!) goes from May through November.
