Arenal is the place to be

If you’re looking for a once in a life time experience, you have to go visit the Arenal National Park in Costa Rica. Arenal Volcano is an active volcano about 56 miles northwest of San Jose and is the main attraction of the park. The national park is 350 feet above sea level and is an excellent location for those seeking ultimate relaxation as well as the opportunity for exploration. Arenal is located directly next to the town of La Fortuna.

Over the last few years Arenal travel has increased, drawing more and more tourists seeking an exciting getaway. There are plenty of hotels, lakes, hot springs and tours to be enjoyed. The volcano is the framework that surrounds this quaint town. If you’re able to visit during a holiday you may be able to participate in one of the many festivals and celebrations. There are usually parades with horses and people dressed in masquerade.

Arenal Travel is definitely for me

One of the most convenient ways to get to Arenal is to hire a private transfer. Most transfers will pick you up from anywhere in Costa Rica at whatever time you specify. This is the easiest way to get from “here to there,” but is also the most expensive. Arenal travel is also obtained by taking a shuttle. A shuttle is less expensive but runs at specific time on specific days. They do take longer because they make multiple stops, much like a train. Arenal is in the middle of the island so it is never too far away from wherever you are staying. Arenal travel doesn’t have to be difficult; if you plan ahead, it can actually be enjoyable.

Arenal National Park

Arenal National Park is in the northwest, center of the country. In the middle of Arenal National Park is one of the largest manmade lakes in the world. It was expanded from its original size to feed a dam that produces most of the country’s electricity. If you’re looking for a great fishing spot, you will love to take a day and experience this freshwater lake. The volcano is surrounded on all sides with hot springs. I highly recommend taking some time to visit these springs. Arenal National Park has a wonderful variety of plant life.

There are many different tours you can take to get a view of the best sites. You can take the canopy tour through the Cloud Forest and then take a hike up lava trails. At the conclusion of your hike you spend the remainder of your day snorkeling and observe some of the most beautiful coral reefs. There are various tours and ways to travel Arenal National Park. Take a quick look on the internet to view various hotels and ways of transportation.

Arenal has a world of experience for everyone. You can relax or adventure outward and see some of the most breathtaking views of Costa Rica. After spending some time at the various beaches, be sure to visit Costa Rica’s rural jewel; Arenal National Park.
